Ace. At the Bellevue East tennis courts, snior Jace Taggart prepares to hit the ball during practice. The team works on their technical skills through a scrimmage where they also work on game play. Taggart swings his tennis racket back and keeps his eye on the ball. “I’m definitely going to miss this team, so I try to win as much as possible, but also just having the relationships [with the team] and keeping them connected,” Taggart said.

Smiles of winners. (Left) At the October, 8 2024 pep rally, junior Cota Barmore storms the football field with East’s softball team after being honored as district champions. As district champions, the team qualified for the state tournament, and they were recognized for their achievements in front of the whole school. “It was the first time the Bellevue East softball team had won their district, so it was a cool moment for us,” Barmore said.
