Bellevue celebrates Arrows to Aerospace parade

Flying colors. Holding the Beast AFJROTC banner, senior Ruby Cortes Mancinas marches in the Arrows to Aerospace parade at the front of her line. JROTC worked to make communal honor present and eminent in the parade. “We had pride in our class and for Offutt, of course, and besides it being really hot, it was really nice to be together with the community,” Cortes Mancinas said.

New students get used to school at East
Plenty of pie. With a smile on her face, First Presbyterian Church member Joyce Wells serves visitors pie as they enter the Sarpy County Museum. This gathering concluded the 175th anniversary celebration of the First Presbyterian Church with tables to sit and eat at before exploring the displays of history. “We had a lot of good pie to serve so that was my favorite part,” Wells said.

Game on. The Bellevue West esports team gathered to play Super Smash Bros on August 26, 2025 during their after school meeting. The club meets for an hour and a half every Tuesday, playing different games, and is structured similarly to how instructor Ronda Aken plans to run East’s esports club. “I…believe it gives students the opportunity to use their gaming skills in a truly competitive environment,” Aken said.
Esports club returns after seven years
Order up. While working the register at the Beast Brew, senior Trinity Marr and FBLA adviser Mitchell Fischer prepare a customer's order by looking at their online order. With the new remodel and Beast Brew location, many FBLA members are eager to see how much money they can raise for FBLA trips. “All of the money that we made, we reinvested it into the coffee shop to grow it to make even more money to provide even more benefits to the student body,” Fischer said.
